Bio

Over the course of more than 2 decades, Julie Salik has produced major international, award-winning television and radio commercials and countless videos.

A native of New York, Julie’s career began at Geers Gross Advertising in New York City as a receptionist. Six months later, she went to another ad agency as an assistant in the TV production department. Jordan, Case & McGrath proved to be the perfect place for a young producer to flourish. Procter & Gamble, Hasbro, GTE and Quaker Oats were challenging clients with celebrity spokespeople and large, out-of-town shoots.

When Ogilvy & Mather called, Julie saw an opportunity to advance her passion for production. Two coasts and 16 years later, she has compiled an exceptional reel of work for such clients as American Express, Merck, NYNEX, Motorola, Kraft Foods, Mattel, Yahoo and Cisco Systems. At Ogilvy & Mather Los Angeles, as she continued to lead global productions, Julie also built a stellar production team, managed art buying and ran a profitable in-house editorial facility.

In the course of her work as producer and director of broadcast, Julie has traveled the world with the most acclaimed directors in the business. She has won awards for producing groundbreaking, computer-generated work for American Express. She has produced spots for the fashion market, kids and moms, business audiences and the Web.

Julie approaches each project’s challenges with creativity, intelligence and humor – a formula that has made her an effective manager and confident leader, respected by her vendors, her clients and her colleagues.
